Pacific Science Center Overnight!
Saturday, April 12, 2008 for grades 3 - 8.
As the sun sets on Seattle, the fun starts inside Pacific Science Center! Embark on an educational journey through hands-on exhibits, take a trip to the tropics in our Tropical Butterfly House, explore the night sky in our Planetarium and delve into the mysteries of outer space in the Star Astronomy workshop. After a night spent sleeping among the exhibits, awake to a live science demonstration and an IMAX® film!
Registrations must be postmarked by March 28th!

Two Shooting Sports Leader Training opportunities will be coming up in the near future! The first one is scheduled for Western Washington March 28-30, 2008, at the Camas-Washougal Wildlife League, in Camas, Washington. Disciplines will include Rifle and Archery. The next training will be April 26-27, 2008, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Disciplines for the Idaho training include Archery, Hunting and Rifle. The registration for the Washington training will be posted to the Shooting Sports website, http://4h.wsu.edu/projects/shooting.htm, by the end of the week. Registration information for the Idaho training is with the online Tuesday News. Washington and Idaho have similar training requirements so 4-H volunteers may cross state lines to fulfill their training requirement. Keep an eye on Tuesday News for future training opportunities.

Poultry Testing for 2008 Fairs
Salmonella pullorum causes a disease of poultry called Pullorum. This
disease can kill chickens, turkeys, and other birds; young birds are especially
at risk.
For the 2008 Fair Season: In addition to educating exhibitors about the newly adopted regulation, WSDA will be assisting poultry superintendents, 4-H/FFA leaders, and exhibitors in meeting the new Pullorum testing requirements. MORE
Meat 'n Good Time
This annual livestock and dairy judging contest and clinic is scheduled
for April 5 at the Arden Hall. The day begins at 8 a.m.
with a Skill-a-Thon followed by livestock and dairy judging contests.
Lunch will be a potluck. Bring a main dish and a salad or dessert. Sponsored
by Haynickers II, Valley Community, and the Milking Crew. Call Helen
